Children's Museums Join First Lady Michele Obama's Let's Move! Initiative
ACM has worked with White House representatives, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and its association partners to so that that children's museums and all museums, zoos, public gardens, historic sites and science and technology centers have the opportunity to be recognized for their work to support healthy lifestyles for children and families. At ACM's annual conference, InterActivity 2011: Innovation is Child's Play, Let's Move! Museums & Gardens was launched with a special video from First Lady Michelle Obama's. Let's Move! Museums & Gardens an officially recognized as a part of the First Lady's Let's Move! initiative which aims to solve the problem of obesity within a generation.
